- What is a colony?
- Empire’s territorial expansion on the Global map. The main advantages of a colony are: special resource terrains, which grant different extra bonuses to the whole Empire and an extra way to save your resources and army, given that the only way to find a colony is to manually drag through the Global map.
- I stopped receiving the bonus of my colony. Why?
- Your colony is in a riot or rebellion. You will get your bonus back when you raise the Happiness above 50.
- Why do I have such a huge Happiness penalty in my colony? How can I fix this?
- The more distant the colony is from your Empire, the bigger Happiness penalty. You can’t literally fix it. You can, though, build several levels of Temple and Fortress, deploy army there, set 0 tax, set Festivals every day and activate Premium, in order to lower penalty's impact.
- How can I destroy my own colony?
- Get into the colony. Open the Global map. Click on the colony and select the "Destroy colony" option. Destroying a colony brings you 50% of the population, sending it to the holding the colony has been founded from, and takes away the net worth points for the resources invested in the colony.
- I woke up in the morning with no colony. Why?
- A colony is destroyed when it ends up without a Fortress. Every successful enemy Fortress siege reduces the Fortress levels by 1. When it turns out the colony has Fortress level 0, it automatically disappears from the Global Map, releasing 50% of the population and 90% of the army, deployed in the colony, that go directly back to the province the colony has been founded from.
- How come my colony/trading post/military post was attacked by 5 times bigger player than me?
- Attacks upon colonies/trading posts/military posts on special resource don’t have limitations for net worth points range. They can be attacked and destroyed by anyone with no penalties whatsoever.
- How do I search for special resources on the Global Map?
- The only way is by manually dragging through the Global Map or use Scouting. There is no fast search engine.
- How do I search for other players’ colonies/trading posts/military posts?
- The only way is by manually dragging through the Global Мap or use Scouting. There is no fast search engine for enemy colonies, but just for allies’ colonies.
- Do colonies participate in the average Happiness and in migration?
- Yes.
